Services Details

FTTX is a communication network system that takes advantage of these advantages by using optical fiber as a transmission medium. This system consists of several types, including FTTN (Fiber to the Node), FTTB (Fiber to the Building), FTTC (Fiber to the Curb), FTTD (Fiber to the Desk), and FTTLA (Fiber to the Last Amplifier) .

The details of the work to be carried out are as follows:


Withdrawing the fiber optic drop cable from FAT to the Terminal Box at the customer's house, for FAT whose position is on the pole, the FO Aerial drop cable can be directly pulled from FAT to the Terminal box and moored with accessories as needed. It is different from pulling the FO drop cable from the FAT pedestal to the terminal box, then using the FO duct drop cable which is protected by excavation work for conduit installation. The connection between the FAT and the terminal box connected by the FO drop must be terminated with a pigtail at the end of the FO drop.

From the terminal box that is installed on the outside of the customer's house (usually the area around the PLN Kwh meter) it is connected to the ONT which is located inside the house which must also be tidied up with conduit and according to the approval of the home owner. Usually the provider only provides patchcord with a certain length as a standard installation.

ONT is a device that will be in direct contact with a customer's device (TV, fixed telephone, smartphone or PC). The output port of the ONT is usually connected with a UTP cable to a fixed telephone, wireless router, PC or TV decoder (the output port of the ONT depends on the model provided by the FTTH network provider in question). What needs to be considered is that the position of the ONT must be close to an electric socket considering the ONT power supply is from PLN.
